Visualization and control of the boiler room and hardening chambers at KM BETA

In 2001, the old control system at KM BETA Kyjov for the hot water boiler room and hardening chambers was replaced with a Tecomat NS950 PLC. This PLC controls the operation of the boiler room with two boilers. MA-3 burner controls are used for controlling the burners. The Tecomat NS950 PLC also controls the process of hardening roof tiles in eleven chambers.

Monitoring and the whole production process are controlled from a central workstation equipped with the Reliance SCADA/HMI system. Operators can set process regulation parameters and monitor operation as well as alarms/events, which are archived in case a later review of the production process is required.

The process of hardening roof tiles can also be controlled with the external regulator, TECOREG TR05, which is connected to the central workstation.
